Will Hailee Steinfeld star in the upcoming Romeo and Juliet movie?
Hello friends, Hailee Steinfeld is in negotiations for a big time leading role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hailee is in talks to star in a new Romeo and Juliet movie. And yes, she would be playing Juliet! Italian director Carlo Carlie is adapting the Shakespeare classic and putting an indie spin on it.
For those of you who need a little recap of what the love story is about, Romeo is the son of the Montague family and Juliet is the daughter of the Capulets. The two families are feuding, but it doesn't stop the two young teens from falling in love. The families try and keep them apart, which leads to their tragic deaths. If Hailee gets the part of Juliet, this will be her first role since being nominated for an Oscar in True Grit. And I have to say, she was pretty amazing in that film, so we're looking forward to seeing what's up next for her.
